Testing without treatment
The medical sector plays a critical role in promoting health. However, distrust due to
malpractices may occur, affecting the capacity to provide essential services according to the
presenting patient needs and demands.
Two patient rights violate
In this experiment, the primary goal was to determine the progression of syphilis for the
patients who were not treated. However, in the experiment, several human and patient rights
were violated.
Rectifying the violations
These violations can be rectified by implementing policies and procedures governing
medical research.
Consequences of such violations today
Since the experiment was conducted, numerous changes have occurred in the legal and
regulatory framework.
