A recent human challenge study was conducted in the UK to determine how COVID19 causes the disease. This research involved 30 volunteers who were deliberately infected
with the virus and placed under a 24-hour observation for two weeks. The researchers wanted
to observe how the virus attacks the body and the immune system responds to the virus.
Unlike randomized clinical trials, which use large population samples categorized into
placebo and vaccinated groups, this human challenge study used relatively small number of
participants with researchers aiming to reveal accurate answers about the virus. This study
was funded by the UK government and was set to run from March, 2021 to September, 2021
with researchers indicating that new information about the COVID-19 virus was already
coming to light (McGinty, 2015).

Historically, a considerable segment of the American population has proven to be
resistant towards forceful vaccination. Despite the deadly nature of Measles, congregants in
Philadelphia rejected vaccines and other medical interventions resulting in a serious outbreak
and deaths of multiple children. City officials forcefully intervened using the courts and local
authorities to vaccinate the children. Smallpox, Cowpox and Influenza vaccines have,
similarly, encountered such resistance. Such resistance can escalate to riots and battles
between the public and law enforcement. President Biden’s recent mandate that require
federal government employees, government contractors and personnel in healthcare facilities
