From the case, it is evident that Erin Andrews suffered a lot from emotional distress, and she
was entitled to compensation. In the arguments in the case that was filed, it was argued that
the hotel and owed the client a duty of care, and they will have protected her from the stalker
who ended up posting the nude pictures online. Thus, the precedent that was set by the court
is that third parties play a crucial role in safeguarding the lives of their clients. Erin Andrews
was a reporter in Fox Sports when the invasion took place. In 2008 a stalker took a video of
the reporter, and they were spread online. Given that the reporter was aggrieved with the
incident, she filed a suit against the stalker Michael Barrett who in that period was a salesman
in an insurance firm and the owner of Nashville Marriott. According to the findings that were
